Numerous things about Nepal

Nepal

The country that I am studying about is Nepal. Nepal is in Asia right between China and India. I learned a lot about Nepal. Nepal is one of the poorest countries that I know of. The Nepalese people also eat a lot of food I have not heard of. I’m a pretty picky eater, and I would only eat a couple of their foods.
I feel bad for a lot of them considering that most of them can’t afford cars. I do cross country, and it is hard, but having to walk and run everywhere, well, that seems impossible.
Nepal’s government is a federal democratic republic government. That means that the people vote. Nepal has a prime minister who runs the government. A ceremonial role in Nepal is filled by the president. I don’t really have a strong opinion on this. I think that is a good type of government. I just don’t see a point for a ceremonial role.
Nepal’s religion is mostly Hinduism. 81% of Nepalese are Hindus. In Hinduism, they believe in many gods. The three main gods that they believe in are called the Hindu trinity. I think that Hinduism is really interesting. I liked learning about it because it is a different perspective about what people think.

  1. I really am happy you chose a country many do not know about or have even heard of. I think you did a great job researching-clearly you even knew they had recent elections after your research was finished. I also enjoyed hearing about the Hindu beliefs and the new constitution that many are opposed to in Nepal. Great job!

  2. I liked your blog. You did a good job on presenting and I didn't know that Nepal was so poor. Another thing that was cool was the currency. One similarity with our countries is that they are both in Asia. Nice job!

  4. I liked your blog. It is interesting that they are so poor and their money is worth almost nothing. Guatemala has a lot people in poverty but Nepal is much poorer than Guatemala.

  5. I think that your presentation was very well done and very interesting because I did not know that much about Nepal. I also think that it was very cool that you semi redid your government by changing the president even though you were finished.

  7. Your blog was very interesting. I had no idea the poverty line is so high. The poverty line in Israel is also very high. A difference between the two countries is the religion. Unlike Nepal Israel is mostly Jewish.

  8. Your blog was great. In my country my president has a ceremonial role too but he goes to other countries and represent India. So the prime minister can stay and work. In India because it borders Nepal 80% of my country's people are hundi. They also have a lot of poverty.
