Yemen

My country is Yemen. Yemen is located in the Middle East, on the Arabian Peninsula. Right now in my opinion, Yemen is a crazy and corrupt country. A group called Houthis have moved their way into Yemen and have took over many places. They have also bombed many landmarks such as the Al Qahira castle in Taiz city, Yemen. That is very bad because some of the landmarks are over 500 years old and those are very historical. Many people have been affected by these attacks because their homes got bombed. Right now Yemen is definitely a crazy place to be. Right now there is no government in Yemen. Since the President fled the country there is no person to lead the country. That is bad because the country will be in total chaos because there is no law enforcement anymore. Yemen's economy is very good. 85% of their exports are oil. Oil can be very expensive and if they can sell it for a lot of money they can make a lot of money. Yemen's History is very interesting. In 1990 there was a civil war between North and South Yemen. Finally the two countries decided that they could merge together and form Yemen. In 630 BC Islam was brought to Yemen and from then on Yemen was considered a Muslim country. In my opinion Yemen was a great country to study and I learned a lot more than I thought I would.

  3. I think you did great. I think the president should have not left because he left his own country even if there is bombing. He just made it worst and left his people. And if we buy oil from them and ISIS takes over we will not get all that oil.

  5. I thought that yours was very good! My country doesn't have many bad things going on, and yours has many. The Prime Minister and Queen of the U.K I don't think would ever leave their own country to save them selves. I can't believe that he did that to Yemen! Good job, though!

  9. Yemen sounds really cool except for the bombing. One thing that is similar between Yemen and Australia is that they both have water around them. Your blog was very interesting about Yemen.

  11. It sounds like things are very crazy right now in Yemen! That's not good that they don't have any government right now! Oil is a huge export in my country Mexico as well as Yemen. One of the world's largest oil companies called Pemex, is owned by the Mexican government. Great blog and Presentation! I really learned a lot!

  12. I liked your blog as well as your presentation. You showed good info and I liked how you did something happening right now. Our countries are on the same peninsula, so they both export the same type pf things.

  13. Yemen seems to be very crazy at the moment with no government. China is very big in exporting.China is also partner in trade with the USA like Yemen. But they only have a really tiny amount of Muslim people there unlike Yemen. I really enjoyed your blog and presentation.

  16. I really enjoyed listening to your presentation and your blog was so interesting to read. I think it's so strange that the president left the country! It would be really interesting to check the news in Yemen everyday to keep up with their country because there going through alot right now. In Austria things aren't as chaotic right now. You did great and I love how you added what Yemen's going through right now.

  17. I really liked your presentation today. I found it very interesting that the president fled the country after violence occurred and now they don't have a government. I noticed some similarities between Peru, the country I studied, and Yemen, like how they are both constitutional republics. I also saw that one of Yemen's biggest exports is fish, and fish exports are also very important to Peru's economy.

  18. I really liked your blog. I did not know that there is no government for Yemen right now. One difference with Yemen and Ecuador is that Yemen's biggest export is oil and Ecuador's are bananas.

  20. I thought your presentation and blog were very interesting. I could not believe how much chaos is going around in Yemen. I also can't believe the president fled the country for safety. Similar to Israel; Yemen get attacked very often. However, they don't result as safely as they do in Israel.

  21. I liked your blog and presentation they were both very interesting. Right now in Yemen a lot of bad things are happening in the government, because they don't really have one, in Guatemala their government is more formed they have a president and laws. I think it is interesting that it is 100% Muslims there, in Guatemala they have a lot of Roman Catholics and very little Muslims.
