My country is Italy, it is located in Europe. I like Italy, it is filled with many great tourist attractions, religious spots, and some great food. Italy’s government is strong, with Sergio Mattarella as the president. He is the head of state. The Prime Minister is the head of government. Italy’s economy was once at a really bad spot. In 2008 Italy’s economy fell in 2013 adult unemployment rose to 12% and youth unemployment was at 40%.
I think that Italy did a bad job in trying to rebuild their economy. This was kind of like the think it was as bad, but what I do think is worse is the way Italy tried to rebuild the economy, the U.S tried to lower their unemployment, but Italy’s unemployment raised and was still raising 5 years after the economy fell.
Italy also has some amazing food, that I personally love very much. I am almost ¼ Italian and my family likes to make Italian food so I am always in some way connected to Italy. In Italy they eat the continental style, with the fork on the left and the knife on the right. When one person is finished they put their utensils on the plate and do not leave until everyone has finished. I think is very formal and I would never eat this way unless I am at a party or something. In all I loved researching Italy and one day I hope I can visit there.

Brett-very creative was your blog! Love that it is the flag of Italy. :)What do you think Italy should do to improve its economy? I agree that soaring unemployment is horrible for the economy. I also love the food there-how could you not? I hope during your presentation you give ideas that might help Italy!
ReplyDeleteGreat Blog! One thing that is different from Australia and Italy is that Australia's Prime minister is head of state and the government. While Italy's President is in charge of the state.
ReplyDeleteI thought your presentation was very interesting. I noticed that the president of Italy and Peru are both head of state. I also saw that The italian president can serve terms for 7 years, where in Peru, they can only serve 5 year terms.

ReplyDeleteYou did a good job with your pinterest and blog. Similar to Italy, Israel's economy is partially based on agriculture. However, it is of course different plants. You did a great job.
