The big parts that make up little Rwanda

My country is called Rwanda, located in Central Africa and very interesting to learn about this often overlooked country. In Rwanda the government is lead by President Paul Kagame and he has been leading the country since 2000. While there has been a lot of improvements because of his leadership, I think he not run for 3rd term because the power may go to his head. Many people participate in voting because I think they know whats its like not to be able to vote and they take full advantage of it now.
The Rwandan genocide I think is the worst mass murder of people since the holocaust. It boggles the mind have people so cruel and evil that they would murder 1 million in hundred days and the world just stood by and watch. Thankfully Rwanda recovered and is rebuilding but the scars are still there. I find weird that religion in Rwanda is still a big thing after something like that. I guess God is a light in the dark for most people

Rwanda geographically looks like a second Eden. All kinds wildlife from imposing rare gorillas to all kinds of tropical birds. I love to fly to Rwanda and see the sights like the mountains and savannahs

  7. Your blog was very interesting. Just like Israel, Rwanda has had long history of fighting. Also both countries are a democracy. However, the common religion of both countries is different. I truly enjoyed reading your blog and watching your presentation.

  14. I thought your presentation was extremely interesting. I thought that the history you shared about the 800,000 people that died in 100 days was crazy. One thing that Rwanda has in common with Nepal is that there are mountains. Nepal has a really big mountian range called the himalayas.

  23. Excellent job, Jack. Loved that you were able to really explain so much of Rwanda from your own background knowledge. The comparison of government to the US really helped the students understand such a small country in Africa. Well done.
